We don't often think of our eyes until there is a problem.
Blurred vision, itchy eyes, and eye burning sensations can be as common as just have allergies, however if can also mean a more serious problem. This lens is all about taking care of your eyes.
Common remedies for many of these conditions can be found or done at home:
When there is something in your eye
Never rub the eye when a foreign object becomes trapped in your eyes. Remove it using a lubricating eye drop or by trying to turn your eyelid inside out.
If the object will not get out and the pain becomes too annoying, go to a doctor.
Spots, flashes and floaters
Some flashes, floaters or spots in your sight are normal if temporary and will usually go away quite quickly however if it occurs persistently, it may be a sign of retinal detachment and should be given immediate medical attention.

More Eye Troubles
Eye burning
Eye burning is a stinging sensation in the eyes that can be caused by allergies, dryness, or vision stress. Lubricating eye drops, cold compress, and regular eye rest can do wonders in easing eye-burning condition.
Blurred Vision
Minor blurring that are triggered by exhaustion, stress, dryness of the eye or eyestrain is not that serious and can be relieved by resting your eyes. This is especially important if you work in front of the computer for many hours each day. Every hour, take a break and rest your eyes for a few minutes by looking at a far away distance. Now, if your blurred vision occurs consistently or if it suddenly goes dark, consider this as an emergency situation that can indicate a problem in the retina or a stroke. Call a doctor right away.
Puffy eyes or Itchy eyes
The problem of itchy eyes is relevant to eye allergies since itchiness is typically caused by an allergen. Over-the-counter lubricating eye drops, cold compresses, oral antihistamines, and ice packs can alleviate the condition. However, if the eyelids become red and inflamed, it may be possible that you have blepharitis. If this is the case, it is crucial to see your eye doctor as soon as possible.Like itchy eyes, puffy eyes may also be a result of an allergy. For this type of puffy eyes, it is advisable to take an oral decongestant to alleviate symptoms.
Eye allergies
Eye allergies can be caused by the season (usually spring or fall) or when an external irritant (dust, cat dander, mold) invades your eyes. When an eye allergy occurs, the eyes become red, watery and puffy. To alleviate the problem, apply cold compress on the outside of your closed eyelids. An over-the-counter antihistamine will also give you quick relief. If symptoms persist, be sure to call up your eye doctor immediately.
